Rental Terms & Damage Policy
By submitting a booking request on tampabaycamper.com, you agree to the terms below. These are the same terms you check off on the Review step of the booking flow, written out in full here for the record.
1. The rig & the deal
You're renting a 2022 Grand Design Reflection 297RSTS (6-person sleeper) from Joel Noland(“owner”) for the dates and delivery location you specified at booking. The owner delivers the rig to your address, sets it up, and picks it up at the end of your stay. You do not tow.
2. Who can book
- You must be at least 25 years old to book.
- You must hold a valid driver's license (shown at delivery — no copy retained).
- One renter of record per booking. Other guests may use the rig during your stay, but you remain responsible for it.
3. Payment & the $500 deposit
- Your card is authorized (not charged) at the moment you submit the booking request.
- If we approve the request, the rental total is charged to your card and a separate $500 refundable deposit is placed as an authorization-hold on the same card.
- If we decline the request, both authorizations are released automatically — no money moves.
- The 500-dollar deposit hold is auto-released within 72 hours of your scheduled pickup if no damage is reported. We may release it sooner manually.
- If damage occurs, repair or replacement cost is captured from the deposit. If damage exceeds $500, we'll send you an itemized invoice for the difference.
4. Damage, cleaning, and what you're on the hook for
- Damage: You're responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear during your rental.
- Smoking / vaping: Not allowed inside the rig. Smoke damage = full cleaning fee plus replacement cost of any affected soft goods.
- Pets: $50 pet fee per stay. You're responsible for pet damage (chewed surfaces, accidents, excessive hair).
- Cleaning: Return the rig in the condition you received it. Excessive mess (food, dishes, trash) = $150 cleaning fee.
- Mechanical / accidents: Honest accidents happen. Call or text Joel at (580) 938-1297 as soon as anything goes wrong. Damage from misuse, negligence, or operating outside the agreed terms is your responsibility.
5. Delivery & pickup
- The owner delivers the rig to your specified address within a 75-mile radius of St. Petersburg, FL.
- Delivery is included for the first 25 miles in the $100 delivery minimum; each mile beyond 25 is $3 per mile.
- The standard pickup window is by 11am on the morning after your last booked night.
- Delivery is to a legal, accessible site (driveway, campsite, private land). If the rig can't physically reach the address you provided, the owner may relocate to the nearest accessible spot.
6. Cancellation
- 14+ days before drop off: full refund.
- 7–14 days: 50% refund.
- Less than 7 days: non-refundable.
- Hurricanes or severe weather: we'll work with you in good faith. Mandatory evacuations, named storms, and similar events are handled case-by-case — usually with rescheduling rather than a refund.
7. Use restrictions
- The rig stays at the delivery address you specified. If you want to move it during your stay, message Joel first.
- No commercial use, no subletting, no parties beyond the guest count on the booking.
- Maximum occupancy: 6 people.
- No off-roading, beach driving, or operating outside paved/improved sites.
8. Liability
Tampa Bay Camper Rentalis a small one-rig family business. We do our best to deliver a clean, working rig and respond fast when something goes wrong, but we're not responsible for indirect or consequential losses (missed travel, lost wages, etc.) arising from rental issues, weather, or third-party fault. Our maximum liability to you for any claim arising from a rental is limited to the amount you paid for that rental.
9. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes will be resolved in Pinellas County, Florida.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect when you submit your booking is the one that applies to your rental. Material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
